The PDA Parenting support session has been so helpful in understanding how PDA and equalising behaviours effect my household and how to meet PDA behaviours in a way that now feels less overwhelming and controlling has been a game changer! I even had my husband and mum join in on the zoom so we can all be on the same page.
I have used the family support session every month to go through new challenges that arise within mainstream. Helping me prepare for meetings, write reports for me to take with me requesting reasonable adjustments and makes me feel so much more confident meeting my child's needs. This is a long road ahead but I feel less anxious and prepared for it with your help.
My world is so isolated. With PDA/ASD children at home and a single mum the support is non existent. I meet with Katie regularly for my own mental health. A form of support that I wouldn't otherwise have. We discuss everything from each of my kids needs to my own mental health difficulties. I am beyond grateful. The holistic approach allows me to actually work on my own environment even with the barriers of my caring duties. Thank you.
