Has worked within Sure Start Centres & Junior/Primary Schools.
Holds a degree in Health & Social Care and furthered her education to Masters Degree level.
Katie also has first hand experience as a mother to three children, all with needs, ranging from Autism/ADHD/PDA/AFRID/SPD/Sleep disorders and OCD.

Emotional Based School Avoidance
Firstly, let us not name it school avoidance. This term makes it sound as if children are choosing to avoid school. As if its a choice. Children are actually in overwhelm, burnout, or shut down and have possible anxiety disorders due to the mainstream environment. That is not within their control or what they would choose.
